DANIEL VISITS SCHOOLS

Daniel loves to visits schools whenever it is possible. A visit usually includes:

Three 45 minute - hour presentations
A short talk about growing up and how it inspired him to fulfill his dream of writing and illustrating books. And how he and his brother Robert (an award-winning author) feel that these wonder years inspired them to create books. Daniel also will do some show and tell, explaining how he takes an idea, researches it, does character developing and sketches, creates a picture book dummy, does the final art, checks the final proofs and receives the finished book.
A slide presentation that covers two or three of his books. Each book has it's own unique stories and challenges.
Question and answers.
Daniel will draw a picture for the kids. Please have an easel and paper.
No limit on number of students in a session.
Daniel usually brings his own slide projector, but a backup is always a good idea.
The school should provide a screen and a room that can be darkened for the slide presentation.
Enough time should be allotted for book signing. Ideally, books should be pre sold before the author's visit.
